THE WHY
Humans long for deep friendships. We are made for community as image-bearers of God. God himself is in community. Or more accurately, God is community: one God, three persons. Christians are saved to community and grow in community. At the Garden we experience community in our Sunday gatherings and small groups.
“If you want the surpassing power of God in your life, you have to plunge yourself into a community,
because God’s power works in your life to the degree that you are involved in community.” — Tim Keller
THE WHAT
Vine Groups:
Vine Groups are the place where life happens. They are the primary space for discipleship outside of Sunday gatherings. Built for deep fellowship with Jesus and with one another, the vine group is a small, multiplying body within the Garden’s congregation. Providing spaces for community and accountability focused on spiritual formation and the rhythms of devotion, prayer and fellowship.
Trellis Groups:
Trellis Groups are the place intentional instruction happens. They provide the body support and structure through intentional training in specific areas. From structured Bible studies to systematic theology, finance to child raising, marriage and more, these groups will provide helpful instruction geared toward the various needs present within our congregation.
